Vintage Southwest Desert Oil Painting Tucson Arizona Artist Ernest Wallace 1930s

Description

Original vintage oil painting with glass of Tucson, Arizona by Tucson artist Ernest Wallace.  Circa 1930's.  I gently took back covering off and found paper label shown in my photo.  Says:  Tucson, Ariz  from the southeast in oil by Ernest Wallace.   It is painted on heavy cardboard.  I researched the artist and found in 1999 two galleries in Tucson displayed his artwork at various showings.  One gallery was Obsidian & the other was Milagro Art gallery.  They held receptions for this artist and several others.  I cannot locate any other information about Ernest Wallace.  Framed it measures 16 inches x 8 inches.  There is no damage.  It is a wonderful desert/city scape painting.  The two buildings were the tallest in Tucson at that time.  If you are a collector of original Tucson or Arizona artwork, this would be a treasure to add to your collection.   Please send any questions.
