This is a nice group of 5 CHRISTMAS postcards
showing various scenes of CALIFORNIA and dealing with the Christmas season.  They were all published by Pacific Novelty Co. and The O. Newman Company.  They have similar designs.  These are ANTIQUE postcards that were published in the early 1900s.  All of these postcards are nicely EMBOSSED, and they have flowers on them (one has bells) along with a specific California scene.  These postcards are attractive with good detail, and are pleasing to look at.
They are colorful postcards and
show some of the well-known California scenes.  They are in color and they have the Christmas greeting along with the flowers / bells.  One postcard shows the redwoods and says, "Big trees of the west".  Others shows the Japanese Tea Garden, a Cypress tree on the Pacific Ocean, a view of San Francisco from the bay, and one that shows roses and says, "Roses all the year round".
These are all nice Christmas postcards that would appeal to collectors because of their age, design, and colors. It is not often that one comes across a group of these California postcards.
These are collector items because of their interesting themes, and their general appeal to Christmas as well as California postcard collectors.
Overall, a nice selection of old antique Christmas postcards!
The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (4) with cancel dates of 1912-1919.  The postcards would have been published in the USA.  They are EMBOSSED and have DIVIDED backs.
These are BETTER POSTCARDS and are good for a collector or dealer. They will keep their value.  Often these postcards are sold as individual items for many dollars each. They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and their backs.  They are shipped in a sturdy envelope.
