Vintage Jack Lord oil on panel board painting. A captivating work of art, depicting a swamp in the bayou with two tree-line shores splitting off into three waterways. In the center is a small waterfall. It is signed on the tree trunk in the lower right, J Lord.
This is an early work by Jack Lord, the star of the long running Hawaii Five-O television series. Mounted in an attractive wood frame. With frame, it measures approx. 11.75" x 19.75" - the painting itself is 8" x 16". Labeled on the back... Hand Painted Originals by Joseph Lord 3200 Emmons Ave, Brooklyn 35 N.Y., NI 8 - 1289.
Painting is in good condition. Frame has a few scuffs and a nick in the wood. The painting moves around a little within the frame as the nails on the back don't hold it in as well as it probably did years ago.
John Joseph Patrick Ryan (1920-1998), known as Jack Lord, starred as Steve McGarrett in the CBS TV series Hawaii Five-O, which ran from 1968 to 1980.
