This auction is for the twelfth London Bridge Commemorative Dollar issued in October, 1982, by the London Bridge Rotary Club in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, also known as a Havasu Dollar. It is 34 mm in diameter (the same size as the first Havasu Dollar) and was struck in a bright nickel silver finish, and it is still in its original sealed plastic package. The design of both sides honors the 70th anniversary of Arizona Statehood (Feb. 14, 1912).Obv: The obverse carries the Great Seal of the State of Arizona in the center of the field above the original design for the 7th "Havasu Dollar," now the official seal of the incorporated city of Lake Havasu. "1831 London Bridge 1971/Lake Havasu City, Arizona" (The date 1831 is the year that the London Bridge was dedicated and opened in London, and 1971 is the year it was dedicated and reopened in Arizona.)
